Join the Fun: Burnaby Pride Community Picnic 2025

We’re kicking off Pride season in Burnaby with something meaningful — the Burnaby Pride Community Picnic. Join us on Saturday, July 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Maywood Park for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and community.

This free, family-friendly event invites 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and allies to come together in a welcoming, relaxed space. Expect good food, great company, and the chance to spend time with neighbours, friends, and chosen family in the heart of Burnaby.

We’ll have all the essentials for a great afternoon:

Thanks to our friends at Burnaby Neighbourhood House, you can enjoy hot dogs with meat, veggie, and Halal options, along with gluten-free buns, chips, and pop — all by donation (suggested $3–5). Proceeds support local community programs, so every bite makes a difference.

And of course, no Pride celebration is complete without live entertainment. Throughout the afternoon, settle in with your picnic blanket or lawn chair and enjoy performances from:

  • Dee Twenty (he/they) – our host for the afternoon
  • GOLDbard – bringing the energy with their signature sound
  • Kaya Ko – captivating and soulful performances
  • The Dimes – keeping the good vibes going all afternoon

We’ll also have free face painting for all ages, so you can add a splash of colour to your day.
