Location
6550 Bonsor Ave Burnaby
Bonsor Field is a public park with a gravel and grass field. The address is: Bonsor Field 6550 Bonsor Ave, Burnaby, BC, Canada
The event will include a large stage with amplification, multiple community booths, and food trucks. We will have lawn games, performances, an accessible shaded area, cool down and low sensory areas, and an EMF-Reduced zone. There will be portable washrooms on site all non-gendered and there will be accessible washrooms available.
Enter through the path on Central Boulevard for accessible access to the festival site. There is limited parking on site so we encourage folks to take transit or carpool when possible
Transit
Metrotown Skytrain station (10 minute walk 800 Meters) head SE on Central Blv or Central Parkway (beneath the skytrain).
Parking
Limited parking may be available in the North Bonsor Parking lot
8 Accessible parking spots available in the South Bonsor Parking lot, priority given to those with accessibility decals
Street parking in surrounding areas
Terrain
The terrain is uneven but level with a mixture of grass and packed gravel. The majority of the festival will take place on the packed gravel/dirt field. There are various paths that lead onto that field down a slight decline.
Ramp access available close to the entrance of Bonsor Rec Center
Washrooms:
There will be portable washrooms on site some of which will be accessible washrooms. These washrooms will not be gendered.

For the health and safety of volunteers, performers, and guests it is important that everyone come fragrance-free or reduced to this event. Please note: Saje Natural Wellness (location #39) and Girl Guides of Canada (location #11) have scented offerings.
EMF-REDUCED
Burnaby Pride acknowledges a growing number of individuals affected by electrical hypersensitivity (EHS) and would like to help support a safer event for everyone.
Please power down all electronics or put cell-phones in airplane mode if possible.
We will have a section of the festival as a dedicated EMF-Reduced space. Only enter or sit in this area with electronic devices powered down please!
COVID 19 Aware
The safety and well-being of our community is important for us. Burnaby Pride follows the recommendations of the Fraser Health Authority. As always if you feel at all like you may be sick or are showing symptoms of any possibly contagious illness please stay home. Our pride celebration is outdoors in a park. Mask wearing is optional, but encouraged in group settings. We also encourage our attendees to take the necessary precautions for their safety and we’ll have hand sanitizer and masks onsite available for those that need them.

Emotional Support
Brief support provided by trained counsellers at Prospect Counselling and training (Location #13).
Prospect Counselling + Training
is a Queer, POC-led counselling practice dedicated to providing accessible and exceptional counselling to SDQTBIPOC+ communities. As part of making counselling more accessible, we have a sliding scale for counselling services – $25-80 + GST per 50 min session with our intern counsellors. Proceeds from services provided support further training, thereby enhancing the services you receive, while funding projects for collective healing within the community. Who We Are
Burnaby Pride is a collaborative community initiative. Our organizers include a number of agencies in Burnaby that support our community with their programs and services as well as individual 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and allies.

Our Objectives
Create a safer space where 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, youth, and families can foster meaningful connections and strengthen the sense of 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Burnaby
Promote 2SLGBTQIA+ visibility and provide opportunities for education, compassion-building, and greater understanding & awareness of ourselves and others
Showcase and celebrate the diversity of identities and experiences within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community
Share information regarding community services, resources, and supports for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Burnaby and surrounding areas
