Celebrate Burnaby Pride with a guided bird outing for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies at Burnaby Lake Regional Park! All skill levels welcome.
Join Lindz Marsh (she/her), Burnaby Lake Park Association Board Director, and another local birder as they share their knowledge and passion for birds while we wander through Burnaby Lake trails, culminating at Piper Spit.
Connect with nature and celebrate the diversity of bird life at Burnaby Lake Regional Park. We’ll listen for beautiful bird song, spot birds large and small, and enjoy talking about bird habitat and plumage. Summer is a great time to see both seasonal visitors such as Sandhill Cranes and local year-round species such as Spotted Towhees and Wood Ducks.
If possible, bring a pair of binoculars that will allow you to identify and enjoy distant birds easily.
We warmly welcome 2SLGBTQIA+ members, particularly members of the BIPOC community. We’ll be using Burnaby Lake Regional Park trails which are accessible to wheelchair-users, people who use mobility aids, or child strollers.
See you there!
