It started, like most good ideas, over beer and song. A few short years later, Vancouver’s Queer as Funk is renowned for its tight rhythm section, hot horns, and soulful vocals, bringing together the city’s best musicians in a dynamic, high-energy dance band. There’s nothing this tight-knit band loves more than performing together, and that love is palpable to audiences everywhere.

“There’s nowt so queer as folk”, or so the old English adage goes. Queer As Funk believes in celebrating differences, and what better way than with a big ol’ dance party?

Gritty guitar, immersive synths and howling vocals – Parlour Panther lifts you up to a sonic dream. With influences like Alabama Shakes, LCD Soundsystem and Tame Impala, this self-produced Queer duo brings you thunderously dark dream pop.

Parlour Panther’s discography to date tells their love story from lustful lesbians to enby loves for life. Their upcoming album Retrograde takes a sharp turn.
