DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an afternoon of food\, entertainment and community 🌈☺️ \nOur community picnic will be held at Lobley Park\, July 9th 2-6pm. All community members are welcome! \nWe’re delighted to note that joining us are the Burnaby Firefighters who for the afternoon will be swapping their helmets for chef’s toques and cooking up a storm for us. There’ll be a selection of hot dogs (meat/veggie/Halal)\, pop and chips on offer. \nBurnaby Firefighters Charitable Society has kindly covered the cost of all food provided\, so no cash is needed just bring along yourself! \nWe’ll have music on the day too from Kaya a Burnaby-based vocalist and songwriter. Kaya draws influences from artists such as Lake Street Dive\, Nina Simone\, Rebecca Sugar\, and David Byrne. He also recently finished teaching a course for the University of Victoria on how to successfully workshop a musical. Hank has also worked as a set designer\, storyboard artist\, and comic book creator.
