The address is: Bonsor Field 6550 Bonsor Ave\, Burnaby\, BC\, Canada \n\n\n\nThe event will include a large stage with amplification\, multiple community booths\, and food trucks. We will have lawn games\, performances\, an accessible shaded area\, cool down and low sensory areas\, and an EMF-Reduced zone. There will be portable washrooms on site all non-gendered and there will be accessible washrooms available. \n\n\n\nEnter through the path on Central Boulevard for accessible access to the festival site. The majority of the festival will take place on the packed gravel/dirt field. After playing for 16 years\, they’ve found music to be a source of joy and healing\, drawing inspiration from artists like Jack Johnson\, Rebecca Sugar\, and their younger selves. Their music reflects their experiences as a queer Filipinx settler\, navigating various roles and relationships within their community on the traditional lands of the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ)\, Kwikwetlem (kʷikʷəƛ̓əm)\, Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw)\, and Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) Nations. Tomaio aspires for their music to serve as a comforting and grounding presence\, inviting listeners to connect deeply with their own emotions and stories. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Dimes are a group like no other. Their specialty is in all things throw-back\, covering the best music from the best decades. Performing songs from the 1950s\, 60s\, 70s\, 80s\, 90s and 2000s\, they truly have something for everyone. Their show is made extra special with the inclusion of beautiful costumes as well as dance choreography for each number. Sing along and dance along to favourites from ABBA\, The Supremes\, Cher\, Madonna\, Spice Girls\, Britney Spears\, Dolly Parton\, Shania Twain and many more! \n\n\n\n\n\nMina Chan is a pianist\, singer-songwriter\, pianist\, and storyteller with a imaginative fantasy prone personality that has been performing for several years in unceded Musqueam\, Squamish\, and Tsleil-Waututh Territory (“Vancouver”). DESCRIPTION:The Burnaby Festival of Learning is proud to present Learning the Rainbow Alphabet\, hosted by Burnaby Pride!\n\n\nThis workshop will offer a safe space for beginners to learn about the spectrum of gender and sexuality\, intersecting identities\, language use\, and how to be an ally. DESCRIPTION:Hank is a queer artist that has been an international touring and recording artist for over 20 years\, with dates extensively through Europe and the United States. He has written five musicals\, The Tragical Comedy of Punch and Judy for Caravan Farm Theatre\, Blisskrieg for Atomic Vaudeville\, Tireseias for Phoenix Theatre\, Yukon Famous for the Yukon Arts Society\, and Heatseeker: a musical about gayness\, Grindr\, and geeks in love for Intrepid Theatre. He also recently finished teaching a course for the University of Victoria on how to successfully workshop a musical. Hank has also worked as a set designer\, storyboard artist\, and comic book creator.
